About

Having graduated from Falmouth University in 2017, I started out in some of London’s top branding studios — even bagging myself an award — where I then turned to freelance in order to work on social causes that matter to me. In a world where there are so many people with incredible ideas that inspire action and create real impact across many communities, cultures and causes, it can be difficult to know how to start, or even know how evolve those ideas into something beyond your expectations. This is where we help.

Along the way, I’ve met some amazing and likeminded people also looking to positively change the world. Consequently, we work with a variety of clients — studios, independents, social enterprises and NGOs — to deliver positive impact projects across areas such as (but not limited to):

  • Biodiversity and climate crisis,

  • Green initiatives (UK-based and European)

  • Net Zero, SDG benchmarking and ESGs

  • Homelessness and UK social housing

  • Domestic violence prevention

  • Childcare and education, and caregiver wellbeing

  • Non-exploitive healthcare

  • Refugee crisis

  • Conscious consumption

Phases of development

1. Discover

We work with you to understand your needs and vision for your desired project. A brief and quote are scoped, while the timeline is then outlined. Meetings and discovery workshops lead to initial ideation development.

3. Create

The project is fully designed and exported to the required output. High quality is assured and we work with you to ensure that you have everything you need, with files being sent to the neccessary parties.

2. Design

Ideas are realised in higher fidelity designs, while feedback sessions ensure the project is on track, that the brief is being answered and that you’re happy with the outcome.

4. Maintain

With the project completed, certain deliverables may require additional attention to maintain. This might be to ensure that websites and templates are consistently working and updated accordingly. Retainers can be emplaced to ensure that needs are continually met to a high standard.

  • "Hire this designer! Nathan has been a joy to have join our team over the last six months. He has the excellent combo in a freelancer of being both a talented creative, and also a great communicator. He works collaboratively but also solo, which has worked well with the flexible needs of the range of projects he has worked with us on. From illustration through to publication design and website user experience - I don’t think we have fully explored Nathan’s talents yet…"

    Creative Director, Noble Studio

  • "We’ve worked with Nathan for many years and, while he works freelance with us, we see him as a part of our Brand team. He’s helped us to navigate many iterations of the Social Supermarket brand identity across digital and print touchpoints, always bringing a strategic lens to his work. He is incredibly thorough, up-to-date on current trends and willing to be flexible around the needs of a start-up. In short, he’s a real pleasure to work with."

Head of Marketing and Brand, Social Supermarket

  • "Nathan's eye for detail and design is excellent. He is dynamic and responsive to requests. Nathan is capable of really understanding what we want and take that into design."
