Summer 2018 | with the Night Zookeepers
An e-learning startup inspiring children to read and write through the power of creativity
Help in enabling the Night Zookeepers vision come to fruition.
A range of collateral including (but not limited to) challenge resources for a new Sky Kids microsite, re-design of the e-learning platform, posters for US classrooms, teacher resources and much more.
Inspiring children to read and write through creativity, the brand hosts a great selection of materials to help make learning fun and engaging for 6–11 year-olds across the globe. In a time when the arts in education are having reduced budgets, it’s a brilliant way of keeping children creative, whilst learning key literacy skills.
In Jan 2019, they launched a new TV show on Sky Kids to go alongside their e-learning platform, range of books, other extensive collateral; much of which I had the pleasure of working on alongside the creative director and also the founder, Joshua Davidson.
Children can contribute a great deal to the Night Zoo, whereby their own creations and stories can be published alongside the books and fully animated into the TV show.
Since the creative director and I were the only members of the design team, I had the opportunity to work closely with him and gain a lot of experience. This also extended to working one–to–one with the internal developers to keep the e-learning platform designed effectively.
An extensive range of tasks were completed over the three months I worked there. With collateral such as the posters and masks, it was great to hear the public feedback from teachers who began to print and use these in their own classrooms.
The fact remains; children love the Night Zoo, and I was proud to be a part of something so special whilst I could.
